Heather Thompson-Brenner

Heather Thompson-Brenner (she/her) is an emerging fiction writer in Somerville, Massachusetts. Her fiction and interviews have appeared or are forthcoming in Ploughshares Literary Magazine, Electric Literature, North Dakota Quarterly, and Fiction On The Web.

She is a graduate of the MFA program for Creative Writing at Boston University, where she received the Saul Bellow Fellowship and a Leslie Epstein Travel Fellowship. She is revising her debut novel, The Book of Revelation(s), about a rebellious teenager, her anxiety-ridden mother, and a Christian FBI informant pursuing conflicting agendas in a liberal commune in 1981.

 

Dr. Thompson-Brenner works as a clinical psychologist in Cambridge and spends her spare time in the Berkshires. Everywhere, children and dachshunds abound. A passionate but undiscriminating sports fan, Thompson-Brenner is particularly fond of Ultimate Frisbee and natural horsemanship.
